beast geocurrency ("the App") is a Shopify app that automatically translates storefront content and adjusts currency based on the visitor's country. This policy describes what data the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Data We Collect

Merchant Store Data

Shop domain, email, country, and currency.
Shopify access token — required to run the App.

App Settings

Enabled languages and supported currencies.
Switcher position, auto-detect preference, and excluded paths.

Analytics

Aggregated visitor country code, chosen language, currency, and day.
No personally identifiable information (PII) is stored.

Translation Cache

Text strings extracted from your store pages, cached temporarily to reduce translation API calls and improve performance.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Visitor names, emails, or IP addresses.
Browsing history or any personally identifiable data.
Customer orders, payment information, or checkout data.

3. Third-Party Services

Shopify — OAuth authentication, Admin API, App Proxy, and Markets integration.
Lovable AI Gateway — machine translation of extracted UI strings.
Cloudflare — geolocation headers used for visitor country detection.

4. GDPR Compliance & Webhooks

We fully implement Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks:

customers/data_request — acknowledged without action (no customer PII is stored).
customers/redact — acknowledged without action (no customer PII is stored).
shop/redact — fully deletes all shop data approximately 48 hours after uninstall.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. We encourage merchants to review this page periodically.
